and a quality centre, not sure who though. Is Ashley Gibson at Leeds out of contract i reckon he would be a good signing. Willie Talau for 1 year maybe.I also think we should get Calderwood he as been unlucky at Wigan and i know he is not very good but has pace to burn and will score tries.
Dear god no if we do sign either of them then it really is time to forget about being a big club. and accept mid-table mediocrity.

Calderwood has signed for Hull FC, replacement for Matt Sing. And I really wouldn't go for Ashley Gibson, Talau however has proven himself to be a useful centre at Saints, strong running, powerful and a try scorer.

No thanks on Talau he's past it we need a younger player we need to be planning for the future.

What about Gleeson for centre if Warrington are going for Jamie Lyon?

It's looking more and more likely that 2009 is going to be a writr off already if the players being mentioned on here are signed. The team needs a massive influx of quality that's not going to happen with the likes of Rooney, Scruton, Calderwood and Gibson and being linked with a move. Other teams have signed quality or being linked with quality players but we get 3rd rate dross. I'll make a prediction now 2009 will see us fail to make the play offs for the first time and the average crowd will drop below 8K.

3rd rate dross? What a fool you are.

Nobody has signed nor will sign two better quality players than Sam Burgess and Steve Menzies.

We will do better next year, and crowds will be significantly better than this year.

Never criticise a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes.........that way you'll be a mile away and have his shoes.

Michael Crocker for Hull
DAnny Buderus fo Leeds

There's 2 for you and before anyone questions this sam burgess is a very good forward and will be world class in another year or 2 and menzies is too old but is still a very good player

Or alternatively why do we not go for Lyon?
