Defend this garbage.
The guy should just walk and save us the money.
Utter shambles.
Nothing to defend tonight ME (the team didnt so Im not going to bother) we were bad, even with the mitigating circumstances. So you wont get any argument from me defending that tonight, and thats from someone who spend a far bit of time, effort and cash to get over to see that in person. Im feeling pretty cr@p about the situation it has to be said.
However, I'm not going to change my generally positive tendancies because of one more bad result. Ask me again after a few more. but with each performance like that its harder to defend the situation. And as a side thought, how many of these super kids we've signed up for "the Future" are backs? especially half backs? if its none or not many then I dont see the point in waiting.
I will say this however, that we wont save any money - as he wont walk and it would cost us sacking him in that we'd just have to pay two coaches untill the end of the season. And with McNamaras contract up at the end of the year anyway the decision might well be made by the results themselves, I.E. if we carry on losing and showing no improvement the board will not be able to justify offering him a new contract so he will sack himself by default.
So to sum up, I'm still overall positive about my club, but not tonight, not in that performance which was not good enough. I dont think we should sack him tommorrow, but on this evidence he wont get another contract anyway. All too depressing (dont know why I still post
) So Im off out for a curry now and some (many??) beers with my mates and not talk about the Bulls to try and rescue something from the day.
