Sammut signed for Fev full time next year apparently

Fev have also made bids for Michael Monaghan and Leon Pryce

If Leon is available and would be happy to play Championship then I'm fairly sure he'd give us first refusal if we wanted him.

Seems like Fev going to make a big push for promotion by planning early. Hope our club starts acting now. Not overpaying for players at twilight of their career (like Monogjan) but signing our academy products, building the team round Mellor, Bates, Brook, O'brien.

Find out from our current squad who is willing to stay next year, then recruit players in their position.

Lets not wait till pre-season for half our props to jump ship. Lets ask them now and start planning.

Sammut is only on dual reg at Fev for now, not a fully fledged signing.
However it seems like Jay Pitts has agreed to join them in 2015 which is a shame from our point of view.

I think the old lad has a couple more years at SL left in him yet, if recent performances are anything to go by.

I follow a journalist on twitter who specialises in RL (previous member of this forum actually)

He's met the chairman of Fev today. What I wrote is pretty much what he's quoted as saying.

The game appears to be run by people who have very little idea what is happening at grass root levels and have made plans for the future of the game which is widely accepted as an experiment only... many fans do not understand or believe this will work. Time will tell but the amount of fans lost in the process could be catastrophic.
