Re: Halifax vs. Bradford : Sun Jul 26, 2015 10:07 pm
Of the team that started today there were probably 6 or 7 that will not be starting in the matches that matter. I'm not sure why the half time team talk seems to be so much better than the pre-match but its a recurring theme.
In effect we are in pre season and a match that meant little to us seemed to have a lot of significance for the opposition......fans and players. It was a good workout for several squad players and a chance to persuade Lowes of their value.
I doubt Fax will be a walkover next time but were they to win then we would deserve to be Championship again. I know we are much better than that.

I don't know enough about the Fax squad to offer any comment other than they played well and probably desrved to win.
Fev were much better as they beat a better Bulls sideat Odsal and then look what happened to them. No rhyme or reason.

No taking it away from us today we beat a club who have 2 to 3 times our resources so give us some credit, the Bulls team today was mostly the one who drew with Leigh last week so no excuses plus we had Ben Kaye and Ross Divorty out who are 2 of our best players all season.
Happy days for us as we have suffered over the last 17 years all the Bull mania and your Golden era while we have been in decline, hopefully not any more!

Being sporting ... All credit to Fax they went out and played and WON !! As the saying goes "You can only play what's in front of you" Congrats and you have the braggng rights today. The new format gives teams albeit some part time, a season that can be enjoyed and who knows!! playing out of there skin and performing beyond peoples expectations anything is possible. See you in the M8's :-)

Ok, you were missing two of your best players. We were missing our first choice halves, first choice full back, our highest scoring winger and one of our better props. Just to put things in perspective, it's still 2-1 over the season with an points difference of 23 in Bradford's favour.

But I'll guess we'll see how we go when we're at full strength with something to play for.

I fully understand why it was such an important win for Fax. They could have got 3rd if Eagles had lost. Although we were a weakened team they were all full time so it is an important yardstick for Fax going forward, pretty much like us beating Super League team however weakened they may be.
I doubt the recent losses will have much of a negative effect on the players that didn't play and I can't see their places being under threat. We are well and truly flying under the radar.

The true Bulls fans should have a word with the 'Fan' who had a pop at Jimmy following the game. They need to get a grip because as far as I could tell no one was promoted yesterday and some of your fringe players got a decent run. The true test is the next 10 weeks in the play offs and I get the feeling both yourselves and Leigh may be celebrating at the end, the 'Fan' will probably then say Lowes is the best coach the Bulls have ever had. Good luck for the rest of your season and hang on to your seats.

I just don't get this... I notice the official club twitter feed said the same yesterday..

What does it matter to Halifax what the Bulls do or don't achieve? Its not part of anything to do with how Halifax performs in any way..

"we have suffered over the last 17 years" - why?

It has nothing to do with the Bulls whatsoever.. strange mind set?

For any club to go forward and improve - it needs to focus on its own affairs and not keep looking round at others.

Ha ha! Well done to Fax mate, they played well and certainly kept hold of the ball far better than we did and I'm certainly not going to spoil your day
