I see it that way too Sensei. Most of the rumours I've heard have come via the same source. That's not to say there's nothing in them. I don't know.

Well the person I've heard is very much left-field. A very credible source has told me that it is Hugh Cook, the last Abbot of Reading Abbey who died in 1539.

Come on Roger! A rumour isn't any fun if it doesn't run for a while and have a bit of mystery about it.

For what it's worth, given the general lack of interest shown by the money classes so far, I'd guess any 'new owner', [if indeed there is to be a new owner] is going to be one of the names on the previous lists from the last two or three years. ATEOTD I support the club. so whoever it is [or remains] as long as the club keeps running it'll be OK by me - not that I have any say in any of it anyway..

Somebody told me the mystery man is John Rockefeller. I've never heard of him but apparently he's worth a few bob.
