What was the attendance figure? Nice sunny day against decent opposition and the ground looked really sparse and the atmosphere awful. It really is a depressing dump that we need to leave in the past. The options are admittedly limited I know.

Sunny but bloody freezing.

If they don’t sort out the shambolic queues / ticket system then the crowds will get worse. We arrived at 14:30 and were only in the ground by 14:55. In the end, we were let through one of the big gates with someone doing 5 bar gates on a scrap of paper. I know we’re not SL but it’s just embarrassing.

In terms of performance, we had the opportunity to put the game to bed in the 2nd half but unfortunately we dropped the ball over the line and then looked sluggish for a big chunk of the 2nd half (after a great 10 mins straight after HT).

Is no-one else asking why we've borrowed a shed load of carriageway dividers from the M62 and dropped them down either side of the pitch?????

Didn't know if I was on a motorway, in a construction site or at a stadium yesterday....

Well they have more brum brum events planned (that's the collective term) so maybe its to give the pitch some form of protection from them veering across it?

At least the bog has gone from the Southbank end (for the moment) the track does look horrendous though. Walking onto the pitch on wooden pallets is looks awful too. Hopefully this can get sorted asap as there is no alternative.

I suspect that we won't see much improvement until the weather gets drier. Until then we have to put up with naff looking solutions to getting across the quagmire. Or, just thinking on my head, we get someone with a brittle ankle willing to sign for the Bulls. When they break it on the mud, we claim Millions in compo from Startrax insurance and hey presto Wembley of the North.

Exactly that

https://www.facebook.com/YorStox/posts/ ... 03?__cft__[0]=AZVHyP1I4evaVbeNOgDgKTDWPGBeX1NxMTp1MPPeHonOiTQIOcP9ROrzQKfuljal6St0yYhK_4XAjUIfQSRLLw90MASi47iD2isKWWN9HlF2hEJso6bkhsm58GQO8cjlADuQNDm7HMC2K9wN4sqt64Xe&__tn__=%2CO%2CP-R

I know this has been well-aired on this forum, but we have to remember that we don't own the stadium so we have to just put up with these kind of things as they make using Odsal viable.

It sucks, but as others have said, what's the alternative??

To be honest I didn't think it was particularly cold yesterday especially in the sunshine, certainly didn't lose feeling in my extremities like some matches!

On the ticket issue, why do they not have the cash turnstile open for stand on car park side? They let me park behind hospitality and then told me at the gate I'd need to walk all the way around the stadium to get in... eh? You'd think they'd at least make it easy to take your bloody money, ended up buying tickets on my phone stood next to the closed turnstile before I could enter the stadium.

People were queuing up from 30mins before kick off which is ridiculous. Surely the more people in the ground earlier means more sales at the bars/food outlets?

the pre season game versus Leeds was a shambles as any fool could've seen that we needed more gates open. To have problems vs Batley shows the back office in a bad light. It's a good job we're unlikely to get further in the cup as a big home draw versus a SL team could've seen chaos on a much bigger stage.

Arrived at 2.30pm and walked straight in with no delay... surely the problem is people making a last minute dash to get in the ground, not the number of turnstiles? Don't understand why people get there so late and then complain when they just can't walk in.

On Sundays result, we were lucky to go against a poor Batley side missing some of its keys players. We would have been demolished against better opposition. Doesn't bode well for Leigh on Monday, or a top 6 finish.

On the plus side we had some standout performers who look to have better fitness levels and interest than others.

I thought that Miller, Tindall and Kear brought the ball back well. The wingers in particular got us on the front foot a few times. I thought that Doyle was the pick of the forwards, very good indeed. Having Lilley back was a big bonus too. There were some spells in the game when we were gash but we were never going to have it easy. Looking at the bigger picture outside of Fev and Leigh it's a toss up between seven or eight sides for who makes the rest of the play off places.
