I guess he came out of retirement for the money and to Bully the C1 teams (easy money). Like most fans I am disillusioned with the lack of communication coming out of the club, but I feel there must be a motive we don’t know about in bringing Geoff Toovey here and him sticking around. There are other out of work coaches who could fill the bill for a skint club (Dewsbury just found one pretty quick) better than bringing someone with his pedigree half way round the world. I`m hoping that there is something going to happen which cant be divulged. Surely the RL don`t want to risk losing a big part of 4000 fans by the Bulls ending up part time in the C1. This WOULD make sense apart from the constant own-goals and mismanagement that the RFL seem to excel at. RL as a sport seems to be heading backwards at the moment and our overlords at S0d hall don't seem to be doing anything to stop this (http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/alarming-figures-show-rugby-league-in-decline/story-30141406-detail/story.html. I don't think they would regard Bradford going to the wall as an alarming thing, I mean, they have Toronto and Toulouse to prove that everything is rosy, right? Have some promises been made to ensure that fixtures are fulfilled, despite most being a one-sided thrashing at our expense? I'm not one for conspiracy theories but if you really were to milk that Bull one last time before sending it to the knackers yard this seems to be the way to go about it. |
