Just watched the highlights from Dane Chisholme's last game for Canterbury against Manly and he looked sensational. Scored two trys, made at least 2 others and his kicking from the hand was brilliant. If he can repeat that sort of performance for us he will be just what we have been missing. Look forward to seeing him on Sunday.

He's signed until until the end of 2017.

That said, at the end of last year we signed Dane Neilson until the end of 2016 but he found a reason to leave after the qualifiers....

Thought i heard at the time it was an option for 2016, im most likely wrong though

Dane will not be playing for us in 2016. We have taken the decision not to extend his contract for a second season. We thank him for his contribution last year and wish him well for the future. This allows us to explore further options for 2016.

Or he decided he didn't want to play in the Championship for another season and Ferres spun it to suggest it was our decision.

I don't think it's unreasonable to think he may have been offered two deals for this year - one for SL and another for Championship and, as you suggest, he spurned the second offer. I hope our signings for next season aren't on the same deal....

As long as Charnock's injury isn't too bad I'm looking forward to seeing how he and Chisholm link up.

In fact, I wouldn't mind keeping him for next year too
