I've supported Bradford since the Northern days, we were a good club then, not fantastic, not the best, but a good club, that i enjoyed watching at a rain soaked speedway track called odsal. I introduced both my very young sons to the game and they became bulls fans, and for years we attended games together as the Bulls led the way in the early days of the super league razzamataz, largest crowds, and some silverware.
All of us regular season ticket holders for years, spent £000's on merchandise; bought a program every game, bought all videos of home games, new home and away shirts every season, gifts from the bulls shop every birthday and christmas.
We even went to Odsal during the week to watch the players train, it was like a home to us, happy times, we were on high, and we supported bulls through and through; even introduced my footie mad brother to bulls mania. When times started getting tough we readily dipped our hands in our pockets.
Many many years later, both sons grown up and moved on, they're no longer bothered with watching a game at rain soaked odsal; sky subscription cancelled years ago, stopped getting season ticket, all old bulls shirts went to charity last month, programmes went to tip, videos gathering dust. Crooked or just bad owners have come and gone.
So now I stand a lonely old man, soaked through to the skin at a dreary odsal bowl, Bradford bulls were my life and it is ebbing away fast.
Like the Bulls, I feel me life has had highs and lows, I enjoyed the highs and struggled through the lows, but like many on here, I now feel exhausted, down-trodden, worn-out with the recent wave after wave of lows after lows (after Lowes).
I will never support another Rugby League team; I will always support Bradford, but I cant continue to carry their burden on my shoulders, its too depressing.
If we come out the other side - i'll be there; if we dont, it will be sad, very sad, the coffin lid is closing, the light is fading.
By the time the Bulls (by whatever name) get back to the glory days I'm afraid my bones will be ashes.
Thank you bulls players and fans, you gave me many memorable moments.
