Yes possibly Davey, but my point been we could go into the championship with a £1.7 million salary,the RFL can't allow that to happen so they have to be null and void

I suppose all current super league contracts at all clubs would of been signed since the first 3 year franchise came in,6 year ago,so this years scenario wouldn't of been an issue in the last few years

I think you will find many of the contracts announced before Xmas went beyond this season.
As far as I know parachute payments on relegation are meant to mitigate that risk of reduced income but same wages.
Of course rule changes to accomadate promotion have resulted in a second tier with its own cap so that cannot be breached.

But all the RFL say is we will help.IE move folk along.They dish the dosh and have influence.

But it was folly to offer BIG BIG contracts to a set of (Non-PC references to gay people. Ahem - Pumpers) who could not tackle a one legged dwarf.And that's what they did to try appease fans.

One is on £135000.A massive jump for him from last year.

I know that I totally missed the boat with thsi comment but its the only time I could ever use the quote and I missed it. It now has no relevance but I am glad I used it
