If Jimmy inspires the bulls team as a coach the same way he did as a player then the Bulls are in good hands. Good on ya Jim. #legend

Re: Poll - Bulls Coach : Tue Jun 24, 2014 1:11 pm
What are these Wakey fans saying they won't be playing us again next year. We will be playing them at the end of next season - and we will replace them in SL1.
Such as Leigh, Fev and us will be targeting Wakey as the team to beat to get back into SL1. Some people think that the four SL2 teams will have no chance against the bottom SL1 clubs. I think there will be a couple of those SL1 clubs who will be vulnerable both in the league games and especially in the one-off game for the 4/5 position clubs. I have a feeling the SL2 play-off's could be very interesting and all four that come down are not guaranteed to stay up. One or more will be beaten by a SL2 club. I actually like the idea. There are four promotion places available and you can take one of them if you show you are better than one of them either by finishing in the top 3 or wining the play-off game. What an interesting way to finish the season.

But realistically, Wakefield will have nothing to play for all season, so they can rest up the last few games, maybe splash a bit of cash to poach a few players for the play off bit. It's going to make the first half of the season pretty pointless for the bottom clubs.

Jimmy wouldn't have been my first choice, admittedly. Seeing him in his club tie however, with the Bulls logo all over the advertising board behind him has put a bit of a smile on my face.

I disagree with that one - momentum and confidence will benefit the teams in SL2. For example, I think there are a couple of teams in the championship that could beat us comfortably at the moment, not because they have better players, but because they will work harder and execute their plays better than we do.

Going to be interesting next year.

To be honest ourselves and London are almost uniquely bad this year due to the mistakes of various folk in charge over the years. I’ve not seen bottom clubs as bad as us since Fax went a season without a win.

Mind you that puts Wakefield into perspective since we’ve done the double on them. They’re going to be in a relegation battle next season with Leigh, Fev and hopefully us vying to take their place.

this is the interesting bit, they could spend only 2/3 of their salary cap for the main 23 game season, then bring in 3-4 decent temp players or more, from teams in SL1 in 7th,8th who can't make top 4 or even NRL bench players for a 7-8 game stint and have up to £600k (1/3 of the cap to pay them)

A bit like Wire did with Andrew Johns did in 2005

They could but I can see that either working really well or being a disaster.

Probably too high a risk to try.

That is the most frustrating and annoying thing about this season playing our 2 worst games of the season against a team as poor as you, it did not help either when Silverwood apologised afterwards for chalking off a perfectly good try which could well have altered the game, fortunately for us it looks like it won't matter now, as for next year, whether we can compete for the top eight as we have done it before we will have to wait and see, one thing for sure even if we can't I don't see us been worried about taking on the likes of you and the others you mention.
