The way Ferres and Green recruited 20165 was more likely to be when we wanted an agreement on him signing.

Shows the level that SL are able to recruit at (unless the player has been a bad boy like Barba or Bird). All the more reason to concentrate on producing our own players through the academy.

The League Express article about it even mentions that they failed with bids for Gareth Widdop, George Williams & James Maloney. Bearing in mind they were also heavily linked with throwing money at Cooper Cronk, the article may as well say "Yeah, they're desperate".

Has anyone heard anything about any potential wingers. I think for the first time in the SL era we are actually drastically short in that department

Rumour has it lardarse ginger winger Chris Riley has been seen up at Odsal. Think I'm still quicker than him.

Glad to see Pickersgill & Ricketts stay. Two more HG players, again on 2 years, so time to develop. See hints of quality in Pickersgill, just needs a run of games to iron out a few weaknesses.

I expect Pickersgill to get a fair few games at fullback as understudy to Lee Smith.
