We always knew that funding would need to be applied for to make this stadium happen.

The cheaper scheme looks more likely, the councils track record of building completely new things is poor, if we went for the expensive scheme they'd use all the money demolishing Odsal and the have none left to build the new stadium.

18,000 all seater stadium? It wasn't too long back there were 6,000 more than that in Odsal for a league match, what a great show of ambition, then again the way things are going that might be way too big.

With a minimum funding gap of £37m I won't be holding my breath.

Lots of positive noises but still in need of lots of cash by the sounds of it.
But sounds good. Fingers crossed.

Thank fsck it's not the Council we're placing our hopes on. Those useless twa#s can't even afford to build a shop where the city centre used to be.

Apart from the fact that we are placing our hopes in the Council and numerous other funding agencies some of whom are yet to commit, meaning we have a massive short fall for either option at present.

The chances of it happening are slim, but we can remain hopeful. More likely I would have thought that with declining attendances and the financial millstone that Odsal represents, we'll be forced in to a ground share at VP, which is obviously where the T&A sees things heading.

I'd rather drive to Salford with a massive crash on the M62 that leaves you stuck there for 3 weeks, give up the ghost, walk the rest of the way, lose by 300 points, walk home, get run over on the hard shoulder, die, get home at 5am and have to got to work at 5.15....every week - than share with City.

Can they not re-develop Birch Lane?

Would you prefer the Bulls at VP or no Bulls at all? It may yet come to that.

It may

Seeing the figures quoted, and the funding gap remaining, I was horrified. I sincerely hope we get minds put somewhat at rest at the fans' forum (if not before), cos looking at those numbers - in this decaying and dying city - in this dire economic situation - and with everything being dominated by the "Leeds City" part of the disgraceful "Leeds City Region" that some unelected w@nkers no doubt with their own agendas have dumped us in with - I'm struggling to feel hopeful.

I'll go further. I can't see the more expensive option being remotely viable - maybe its just there to provide a comparison. Maybe there would be a chance if City moved in too. Indeed, that may be the only way we'll ever see a stadium development. And what chance of that?

Just hope I am being unduly pessimistic here.
