When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately it's usually an oncoming train

Despite the attempt at positive spin from the McNamara appologists on here there is still the fact that we're one win (a win we might not have got if not for a VR) from 6 games. That's nearly a quarter of the season gone and we're way off pace to even make the play-offs. As far as I can see, there's enough skill in the squad to make our current league position questionable. We are not a bad side though we do have weak spots, mainly in the back line, but even so I think the team are still using tactics from 2003.

We don't have 2 extra forwards mascarading as wingers any more. We've got a couple of wingers who've got a bit of pace, so what's wrong with a suprise early kick in the tackle count for them to chase? It's unlikely as Deacon is set in his ways and will give the same kick every time and always on the 5th tackle. You watch any defence against Bradford and 5th tackle theres always someone ready to go for Deacs. Which raises it's own tactical questions. If we've got someone coming out of the line to go for the kicker then there's a gap. What's wrong with faking the pass to Deacon and trying to cut thru towards the try line? Or am I being really naive in thinking that doing something unexpected might get you a try?

I still feel that McNamara is tactically inept and that as much as people on here rattle on about performances and giving the coach time etc etc it won't change what a lot of people can now see. We won't win anything while McNamara remains as head coach

I'm a different kind of disappointed tonight. Not disappointed at the poor performance because it was far from that. It was an excellent performance, by both teams. We were, to some extent the better team, I'm still wondering how we lost. A bit more composure, a bit more luck, some decisions going in our favour and we would have won. But hey, fair play to Cas, they took their chances well, when they were given them.
We looked like a team today though and that bodes well.
Newton, Platt and Morrison all outstanding and Menzies showed his class. It also looked like the others are beginning to read him a bit more.
I'm feeling fairly posititive tonight.
We are improving every game.

The tackle was perfectly legal, Shenton never touched his head. Deacon just hit a brick wall

Only just legal, deacon being bent down made sure of that but Shentons arm was close to being an elbow regardless though!!

However i felt it was always within Cas to beat us, but the game turned when Cas lost the ball backwards and Morrison was tackled off the ball and then Cas got the ball and scored that set. It put us on the back foot, I was with a lot of Cas fans who were saying the same that without that incident they don't think they'd have won. Sykes needs to work on his kicking though.

Ryan McGoldrick should be banned, squaring up to the linesman and having his fingers pointed at his own eyes and then at the linesmans and mouthing off like he did was disgraceful behaviour.

The game against Giants our conversion went over but it wasn't given. Class it as karma.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

Sorry but professional sport is all about results and ours aren't good enough.
