I have disliked every shirt we've had for at least a decade. This is the best one imo for many a year. Many of you seem to like the sort of tacky looking crap we've produced in the past, which only serves to make me feel vindicated for hating each and every one of you.

This only goes to show that there is absolutely no chance of getting consensus as to kit designs on here.

No chance of getting concensus? Mmm, well yeah, 'twood be a funny old world if we could, to be honest and that statement is worthy of the much vaunted and sought after STBO [Statement of the Bloody Obvious] award for 2013.

My opinion,FWIW is that the design is neither brilliant nor poor but just like all the others, I'll buy it anyway 'coz it's my teams shirt. Seems a good enough reason to me..

I don't think it's that far-fetched to broadly agree on when a shirt is either good or bad. Instead we are annually polarized which isn't the case at all clubs. If you were a saints fan it appears that they are inexplicably perfectly happy to spend £50 replacing their white shirt with red vee, with a white shirt with red vee.

What is the last shirt where we virtually all liked it? Vaux hoop one?

Yep, liked that one. For another one we might have all liked how about the 2001 skylark red amber and black V shirt? (colours in the right order, proper collar and everything)

I quite like this years home, far far better then some of the last Kooga "efforts." Just hope they dont go too nuts with the away shirt.

I liked the 2001 one. I understand Leeds are doing two versions of their shirts, one with player style neck and one with collars. I understand the lack of collar for actually playing in, but I personally would always prefer a collar on the leisure-wear version so this seems incredibly sensible.

To be honest, I think it was the home shirt from four/five? [time passes me by all too quickly..]years back which was basically white and featured three hoops of RA&B [in that order] and was more or less a direct descendent of our traditional [as in Foxy era] shirt.

Put out the same design two years running though and you cut your sales by probably 50% [at least], 'cos many, if not most, are not going to buy an identical shirt to the perfectly serviceable one they have hanging in the wardrobe. Saints don't put out the same design, btw. For sure they incorporate a red V somewhere on the shirt but they move it around and re-size it sufficiently to enable their own fans to know who has the new one and who hasn't, even if the logos don't change.

Well yeah I get that. But tw@tting around with the same red vee seems cheap to me. However, I am not intimate with the history of the Saints club so I can only guess that whilst we are "red, amber and black" and can do whatever we want with it, Saints aren't "red and white" but are in fact religiously "White with red vee" so can only ever tinker with it.

Arguably we get better value for money because we have a wider range of possibilities for design, even if we then bicker amongst ourselves over how worthy they are.

Just got back from Odsal - not ram jam full but doing a brisk trade. Sizes seem like last year, ie a bit on the small side so, if you're normally large think XL, or like me 2XL.....
