Omar's right not to hand over the ownership if they won't pay him, although god knows what will happen now

Why should they pay him?

As a director you take a risk when make a director's loan and you can only hope to get it repaid if the company reaches a financial position to be able to repay it. Just putting the money in doesn't entitle you to get it back.

As regards paying him, what are they paying for? A huge debt and a load of grief? Anything, shares included, is only worth what someone will pay.

While I totally sympathise and understand the agonising frustrations amongst my fellow supporters at not knowing the full details, everything should become apparent in the coming days.

Today has to be seen as a positive step - how can you want shares in the club by having no intention of paying for them?

It's common practice. Who in their right mind is going to buy the a loss making entity and it's liabilities for a substantial sum.

They wouldn't be getting a lot for their money.

Shares should have been signed over for nominal fee say 1p

Apologies for your uncertainty at this time of year - and best wishes for your future.
I come in peace.
Without following this saga closely I am confused as to the shareholding bit.
Some months ago - either before or after the Fit and Proper person test was done the local press reported that Whitcut
was co-chairman and majority shareholder - HERE
At this point OK was 'no longer the owner' so presumably he was happy with Whitcut before the RFL knocked it back on the FPPT.
The 3 who have now stepped down were brought to the club by Whitcut (?)
Is it right that they have been working without having any controlling interest in the club ?
Does Sutcliffe the MP have any shareholding ?
Wasn't it the American soap that had the tagline - Confused ? You will be.
There are a huge number of questions that could be asked of all parties in this scenario.
Once again - Good luck.

Wait, Mick says there's new investors lined up?

So what do these investors do? Pump in some money, the majority shareholder then takes it back out as drawings or as a repayment of all or part of the loan he made.

That's not an investment, that's moving the problem from one peg to another.

As usual Gledhill rocks up with a "I know something you don't" act and gathers attention due to it.

The situation is a farce, I don't think the latest set of directors did themselves any favours by saying at the fans forum that OK wouldn't be getting a penny.

Sorry for sticking my oar in, been a regular reader. But generally kept quiet. All the best, Merry Christmas

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!

I think Micky G is trying to show all is not gloom and doom, but he has to respect the confidentiality of the situation.
It seems like (my assumption) the Club still has a lot of short term debt and M C & W were using it to get OK's share for a lot lower valuation, OK is still a businessman who wasn't going to blink first and didn't.
It made me wonder when Ryan Duckett turned down the chance to come back, I suspect he read between the lines that the situation was still fluid!

Micky G shouldn't really know anything that is going on at the moment unless he is being used or allowing himself to be used 'solely' as a propaganda outlet

Jesus, anybody expected to believe anything that comes from you?! It's quite amusing how unaware you are that you are forever used as a mouthpiece for positive spin by various factions within the Bulls hierarchy.
Absolute joke of a man, you loving blowhard.
