Can't see it being anything BUT a trickle to be fair, and what's worse, with loanees it could be like a revolving door.

None of us knows what money is available but it is a fact that there are few players available to sign and probably even fewer [thinking mainly about overseas players here] who would want to commit to a club in our position. There may be the odd one or two, I guess, and hopefully the pieces will fall our way - but I'm not holding my breath.

Perhaps but for players just outside their clubs first choice 17 it's a chance to prove yourself - so maybe not the stars but players with a bit of something to prove?

Well, yeah I agree, but I think that's pretty much what I said, to be fair. Players outside their clubs top 17 are obviously in contract though, which leaves us with the 'revolving door syndrome' loan system, and of course, you say top 17 but every club has a set of regularly used players, outside the top 17 to cover for the inevitable injuries - so we're really talking about players who are unlikely to feature at all for their own clubs, except in the direst of emergencies.

Though I'd agree that there are an odd few around - and I'd guess more to come for us [if we're lucky] -I'd really like to see fully signed blokes coming in, though as said previously, it really isn't the best time to be looking.

I agree. He looked hungry for possession and has good footwork. Looking forward to seeing how Arundel goes this weekend.

I'm just preparing my smug face for when it's Lee Jewitt.

I'm just preparing my FFS face for when it's Ryan Bailey. :WALL:

I'd be delighted with Jewitt. Under rated player IMO.

I've heard that Ryan Shaw has been talking to the Bulls. I think he's been released by Warrington. Not sure why we need a winger myself though.

No, I think we're 'suited' for outside backs - unless he doubles as a prop?

I'd be very happy with Jewitt. He was being linked with an NRL move last year and I can't believe he's not already playing for another SL club.

Bailey, as long as he comes in straight (and you'd hope with our ex-Leeds contingent they'd help) then I can see him being a benefit to the pack.

Whatever happened to Liam McAvoy? He went from us to Leeds, but he seems to have dropped off the radar now

And looking at how their slating him on the Wakey forum, I'd take Scruton back in a heartbeat, and I've a feeling he'd jump at the chance to return as he only left to guarantee his family's income

McAvoy signed for Workington Town at the end of last season.
