Unless it's another Re-signing such as Doyle. No idea who it is but I think it could make the fans happy by the way they're building it up.

Now now that wasn’t helped by The TnA writer tweeting “they’ve got the chequebook out for this one” before it was even announced haha nothing less than thurston would have done with those expectations!

For some reason I remember this well and Ross Heppenstall tweeted that the signing would raise eyebrows. Resident bull******* Mick Gledhill in his desperate attempts to convince people he was "in the know", but 2+2 together and was the one that tweeted we'd opened the cheque book. When the backlash ensued his response was "well Mathers isn't playing for free" classic!

Anyway this news isn't as much of an anticlimax.
