Not sure you need that risk. Gale and Sutcliffe is a good partnership in the short term. A lot of clubs would be jealous of that team. When Gaskill comes back he will pick up that slack.
I would hope that Leeds and Wigan don't get any injuries in those positions so that we can extend both loan players for a few more months or even the whole season. It does benefit those players also. The way Kearney is playing at the moment it may be good to slot Gaskell in there when fit and keep Sutcliffe at 6 if Leeds are OK with full season loan. Maybe I am dreaming a little here but that would be good for us.
Wouldn't particularly disagree with that, but I 'd recommend not looking too far in front. We've got the players for month long loans and best not expecting any longer - if it turns out we do get an extension, then it's a bonus.
Getting loan players is a way for those with small squads to try get some depth. It’s going to be interesting at Easter when these deals may be in shorter supply as clubs draw upon all their resources.
If we stop up this season it'll be as big as winning SL.
