Thought the spirit shown by the lads was superb, especially in the second half - goal line defence was awesome at times.
We were never going to win after losing two forwards in the first quarter. We were not only short of forwards before the game even began but we were then also then down to just two interchanges for three quarters of the match.
Both sides lost quite a bit of ball which, I guess, must be largely put down to the wet conditions, though that said, we certainly didn't create much but without some more 'beef' in the pack we were always on the back foot and never gave the halves any space to work in. Same with the kicks, Gale kept finding the man but never had a chance put his head up and look, to be fair.
Big respect to the lads for not giving it up, the determination to keep them out was obvious and heartening. I'd suspect that the Rovers coach was more disappointed with his team's performance than Franny - 60 minutes with the Bulls down to 2 subs and they only got 4 points?
