I don't think that you are following the point correctly. What is quite clear from what Red is suggesting is that Ferres had recommended (and/or put a deal on the table for) the three names mentioned but others within the club turned them down.

RER has often suggested that Ferres is being made the unfortunate (and unfair) scapegoat in halfback-gate.

To be fair, by "he", I actually meant whoever was the one who vetoed it. I did read it wrong and assume it meant Ferres, but since I didn't know for sure it was him, I went with the ambigous "he" instead of his name.

If we could have genuinely had Liam Finn before Wakefield got him, I despair at the fact we didn't take him.

Money isn't everything, though it is pretty important to a pro. As I've often said, even for them best of them, it's short life as a professional sportsman so I'll never criticise anyone for maximising what they earn - even when they act strategically to do the maximising!

It isn't uncommon for Leigh fans to have a disagreement between themselves about a Leigh player, but not normally on the Bradford forum.
