Doesn't happen often does it - don't know if this is because players take the hint or refs decide it's had sufficient effect and just let the game go on.
It's also a bit unclear how long the team warning is supposed to last. If they don't re-offend until, say 10 minutes later, is it just a penalty then or do we reach that point after quarter of an hour? Tbh, I don't know and I'm not sure anyone else does either.
The bit in my earlier post about demotion of the ref to the Pennine league was a joke btw. Based on the premise that allowing quick play the balls in the championship wouldn't be tolerated by the RFL.....The ref was clearly young and inexperienced but, for what it's worth, and despite how the rules are worded, I thought he probably [maybe slightly more than 'probably'] should have stopped the game when the Oldham player was clearly in a bad way - but otherwise he had a good game overall.
