For the record, (aaargh)in fact McNamara isn't a stuck record, whereas you are.

For another thing, he is ASKED for his opinions on games, tactics, results, events, referees, etc, and is obliged to provide comments for the meeja. You're not.

For another thing, having been asked his vews, what do you want him to do? Lie? make stuff up? or do as he does and say what he thinks?

For yet another thing, there isn't anything except "I quit" he could ever say that you wouldn't slam.
