Some cracking names there. I'd go with Nehamiah Mensah too if only that I hope Ray French gets to commentate on him playing.

I'm fine with whoever is chosen, however there have been such convincing advocates for Nehamiah that I'm convinced he's our guy!

Lol, when I was much younger and played cricket in the SS League, we used to keep a name permanently registered, just for the odd guy we pulled from the pub to make the numbers up. I forget the name we used ( it was along time ago..) but that name must have been on our register for 50 years back then, and 90 years by now if the team is still going, 'cos I doubt they've changed it...

If only he (ie. the one at the time) hadn't "muckied his ticket" when getting into a discussion about the team with the umpire when he was standing at the non-striker's end when batting. The umpire was a bit worried about his mental state as he "didn't seem to know one player from another", or "even who the captain was", as I recall. Not really surprising as he only actually knew the one team member who pulled him out of the pub, and he only knew him as Des. Fortunately he got out, very shortly afterwards, without troubling the scorers and the conversation ended.
