Thought I'd add my two penneth if you gracious bull fans dont mind - although a resident of Shipley /Saltaire / Baildon for some years I havent been to many Curry houses in Shipley however of those visited - forgive if these have been reviewed in the previous 50 odd pages:

Aagrah Shipley - not keen - bit pricey and too spicey for me

Rozina's Shipley - very good value and decent portions

Shimla Spice - fab food and great value

Bengal Tiffin - Crossflatts - this is by far the best take out by a mile - dirt cheap and the food is superb. Give it a tray you wont be dissapointed. In my opinion the best for miles around.

Definitely a top quality takeaway. I use it every week! Less oily than the Shama in Bingley even if they've less variety on the menu.

Interesting that.

I really like Shipley Aagrah - for the buffet.

I'm not normally a fan of buffets and wasn't overly impressed on the first visit to this one but gave it another go and have been consistently impressed: good range of dishes, good quality, really easy going place to take kids, friendly and at £13 a head for 4 courses plus breads eating as much as you want of what you want is pretty good value (though the a la carte downstairs is probably pricey).

Moved to Brighouse a couple of years ago still struggling to find a reasonably local curry shop. Any ideas?

Have you not tried Medina? Lightcliffe Road, I love the place.

Only downside is they do not deliver.. only via taxi. But if you're close enough to walk or happy to drive you'll get a bloody good curry.

Chappel kebabs from the Punjab Sweet Centre are an excellent nasal decongestant. Do not insert into your nose.

They seem to clear blockage elsewhere too and turn harmless material into napalm. I tried the haleem in there a few weeks ago. It says it takes 24 hours to prepare but they had some going, it was like potted meat curry. A bit different but I would't rush back for it. Made me suffer the next day too but that seems to be the price I pay at the Punjab.

Tried this place last night. One of the best takeaway curries I have ever had. Nice bloke who runs it too. Shouldn't let its appearance from outside put you off.
