The report in today T&A suggests the Chalmers and Toovey have already had a pow-wow over in Australia, whilst AC is over there 'scouting' at the World Cup.
If so then I'd suggest that it's already been decided. He's either coming back next week to start on pre-season, or he's not coming back at all. I think the whole 'he's coming back just tell us he's leaving again' scenario has been removed by the meet up in Oz.
If the report is accurate, you still have to question why the owners have allowed someone to wait until the end of October to decide if he can be bothered sticking around or not. If he has said no (and we don't know if he has at the moment), then it's left the club right up a certain waterway with no propelling instrument.
I'm hoping they're going to announce he's not staying personally. It was mentioned on another thread that Chalmers only wants players this time around who want to be at the club, rather than those who just don't have anywhere else to be. Why should that be different for the head coach?
