Aagrar in Thornbury last Saturday night:

Booked in for 8 o clock, didn't get taken to our table until 9.15! ! !

Food was very good as always but think the chef was a bit of a chilli-maniac! But I like it hot so 'all good'

Had to ask for drinks twice, and when they did bring them they only brought 2 out of 4 drinks.

Had to ask for rice twice as well!

Due to above errors, we managed to get a starter, main, drinks, bombay potatoes, 2x rice, naans and mixed veg for only 36 quid ! ! ! :D

So overall, i'd give it 6.5/10!

Very 'shoddy service'

I was in the Aagrah up at Thornbury last December, the food was good but the service was very poor. At the one in Shipley it was pretty much the same. I think some of their staff could do with some customer service training.

The few times I have been to the Mumtaz that has been my complaint. The waiters virtually throw the plates at you in an almost surly manner.

Must be an Aagrar thing then because the Old Aagrar in Pudsey was the same.

Went to the International last night for the first time in quite a while.

Got my usual. Mixed kebab starter (which was excellent as ever) and Keema Madras with Naan. The taste of the Madras was good but it's a completely different dish to last time I got it. Less meat and a lot more sauce. Still decent, but not quite what I've had there before. I was just kinda grateful it wasn't Salty Chef though.

Anyone near me at work this morning has suffered though as I've got gas that a Chemical Weapons plant would be proud of.

Saw a burnt out car today, but it's not on my street so my point stilll stands.
