Oh of course... I forgot the owners have stupidly tagged us with that line! Much like talking about having a party when we hit “zero” points!! Idiots :SHOOT:

I'd be surprised if that unbeaten run stretches beyond the first match at York

To be fair Greenwood is a proven coach in this league. Did wonders at Gloucester.

I know a handful of players that played under him... What was said was more negative than positive.

Working wonders at Gloucester doesn’t constitute to proven for top of league 1 and aiming towards top of championship in 2019 IMO

Does anyone find it odd that on the official webpage we have moved to quash the Jon Sharpe rumours while actually advertising the job in the same piece? I'm not sure advertising the role in the news column on the club website is standard practice. Just seems unusual.

My thoughts too. Be one hell of a task to get a victory there.

If we win it will be massive and i don't think we'll look back as i personally believe York will go up this year.

Sounds like someone got a bit ahead of themselves when they spoke to Matthew Shaw. Now the club seems to be behind the curve. They've had weeks to organise this and now they look like it's being cobbled together in a hurry. Why else would you interview head coaches without the owner being on the panel?

The panel is made up of two people without coaching or playing experience and one who will be reporting to whoever gets the job. I've nothing against any of them but I'm not sure it's appropriate that the two non coaches do this.

Doesn't inspire confidence in the management.

I have no inside track, haven't a clue who is going to be coach - I do know that a Sharp or Anderson appointment isn't going to inspire me to part with cash for a season ticket, whilst an appointment of someone young, bright and looking to play modern attractive rugby league, is.

This appointment is a big statement of intent from the club, so let's see where they go with it.

I do happen to know that Matt Diskin has thrown his hat into the ring

Matt Diskin would be brilliant.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!

Re: Jon Sharp lead candidate for new coach : Fri Nov 17, 2017 12:52 am
I suspect that with Chalmers being in Oz for a while and hoping to persuade Toovey to stay on, other Coach's have made tentative enquiries about the job should it become available which it has, but as usual someone has spoke out of turn getting the info wrong and the usual rumour mill gets grinding once again. I suspect Chalmers is still in Oz so it would make sense to have people he trusts to do the interviews, no idea on McFarlane but Bastian and Duffy have enough nous between them to make the right call!
Stops the off season being boring but like most it would be nice to have a boring one once in a while!
