Change of captaincy : Fri Mar 06, 2009 8:28 pm
If you accept that Deacs and Jeffries are our half backs for the season maybe we could allow Deacon to get on with playing by giving the captaincy to one of the other leaders on the pitch. Morro looks to be the favourite but others could be Menzies or even Sam

Take the pressure off, let him concentrate on playing

I say this as a positive suggestion, working with what we have. I don't know enough about the talent coming through and can't see anything worth shipping in so we need to find a way of getting them to play. They have shown that they can play together last season

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

At this moment giving Sam the captaincy would be the worse thing we could do.

Oh for f....

It was just a suggestion

may I say he was the third suggestion. I would say Morrison is the leader on the pitch anyway. You're missing the point - let them 2 get on with being half backs

Not sure that the captaincy is any big deal now. nor any great responsibility in the Bulls at least for Deakin
On the field Morrison is the man leading the forwards -perhaps to be assisted later by Menzies,
We have no natural leader in the backs and thats a problem.

When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately it's usually an oncoming train

I don't feel it would be any different than when nobby made JP skipper - a lead by example skipper

But like Bobsyeruncle says Morro is definitely leading that team at the moment

He's a young lad carrying the weight of the fans expectations on him does he need the extra burden as captain I don't think that he does. Give him another 2 to 3 years and IMO he will be the ideal candidate.

Didn't need, to, given that Penguin was the de facto captain.
