What's Graham Murray doing in town? : Sat Apr 18, 2009 6:11 pm
See he's at the Huddersfield v Rhinos game - long way to go to watch a team that sacked him

As mentioned in the commentary, he is here for a 1999 Challenge Cup reunion dinner with the Rhinos team from that year. Nothing more, nothing less

Yes, convenient they have a get together of a Rugby League team during the Rugby League season.

Makes sense if you think about it

I don't recall Leeds sacking him, he was offered the job at the Roosters so left a year(?) earlier than he was contracted for IIRC.

Yeah,I remember the 1999 cup final well, went down to Wembley on a sunny day with the wife and kids and walking up Wembley Way with all it*s nostalgia and seeing some drunken nuns totally out of it(London Fans)and i thought I pity who them are going to sit by!!!!Got inside ground ,taking in the atmosphere in with Leeds fans, and guess who gets sitting behind us bearing in mind there were about 70,000 odd fand in there,,,,These bloody nuns totally pi""ed,,,,In the end they got thrown out but i can always remember a great day at Wembley and seeing Graham Murray brought it back,,,HappyDays :D

Yeah it is convenient. Should have come two weeks later huh???

Oh like Asim said, he wasn't sacked. He was, and still is, held in very high regard at headingley.

As others have observed, he was not sacked. I've never heard anyone at Leeds speak bad of him, and understandably so. For me, he was one hell of a coach.

Suspect you are getting mixed up with the muppet Lean Dance?

Now Dean Lance was a muppet. You are right. Heard he liked basketball players though!

If your chairman uses his loaf, he should tap him up and get rid of the bloke you currently have impersonating a coach !!
