Ditto...

I saw a few with pens and paper so I'll let them summarise in more detail!

Plenty of talk on the OSV as you would expect. Cleared a few untruths and myths surrounding the settlement with the Council over Odsal etc.

Hood stated that a 'decent run' in the play offs was what the club deemed as acceptable performance from the coach/squad. He didn't really give an answer to the consequences for McNamara if we failed to do this. However he did confirm he is contracted until 2010.

Medders got the biggest cheer of the night for his passionate speech on youth development. He also gave big raps to McNamara for the work he has done to totally restructure our set up.

Loads of other stuff.. but I'll leave that to others to post in better detail.

Indeed, but I was more inclined to cheer for his brilliant, and deserved defence of Steve Mc.

The key word of the night, aside from the OSV is 'long term'. It was heavily insinuated tonight that the "previous bloke" in charge of the club just wanted a quick fix at the top of the club rather than overseeing the whole infrastructure. Or in Medders words, the bottom of the structure collapsed.

The club were losing money, buying big names just to attract immediate success. And we're heavily paying the price now. But Steve McNamara has a far more logical approach to his coaching, and its going to take a while for the club to repair the damage thats been done over the years.

Patience is a virtue, Steve Mc and Medley care about this club passionately and they want to turn it around. However, it will take time, despite all the moans and groans. Look at Leeds, where they were 7/8 years ago and where they are now. 10 homegrown players in their GF winning team last year, that could be us in a few years with some genuine patience and hard work.

Also interesting to hear Hood say if Super League had been based upon financial stability over the last 2 years, we'd have won it hands down, another nice thing to hear.

I genuinely believe the club is making massive steps to turn the consequences around from the last few years.

I agree with all of that, especially the last paragraph.

That's a pretty good summary in my view. Bullseye took copious notes so hopefully will post some sort of summary in the next day or 2

Did my question get asked, that's all I care about!

What would the club consider to be a "successful" season this season? Most fans, I suspect would consider anything less than a decent run in the play offs to be a failure. Would the club concur with this and what steps will be taken if this "minimum" standard is not met?

Yep, it most certainly did! As Bully_Boxer said:

Yes it did. Peter Hood answered, he basically explained that the club considered a good run in the play-offs to be a successful season but didn't expand on any consequences.
