Foster : Tue Feb 11, 2014 8:49 pm
I'm surprised nothing has been posted about the recent media release from Foster. I think he is an inspiration and a great spokesman for the club, always says the right things. Reminds me a lot of Robbie Paul when he played, always made the right noises. I can really see Foster going far both as a player but also with the media, every team needs a player like that. Look at David Beckham, he was a great footballer but also known for being used greatly in marketing and sponsorship, Foster could be a great inspiration to the young kids and people of old too.

“I’m stood with all these fantastic people and you look round and think ‘Is this me?’,”

“When all my mates were drinking in a park at 16, I was at home with my grandad watching Match of the Day and getting ready to play rugby on a Sunday morning."

“It’s tough at times because I have never really had any contact with my dad throughout my life. Not even a birthday card.”

I used to look at Kirk Dixon and not rate him in the slightest, a suitably average winger and player who could kick goals.

Then I realised he's pretty much the same as Jamie Foster and I despaired a little!

He does what he does and some really like that he's in the team but he is certainly a player with many areas to work on. Sometimes it's good to take a step back and see how other fans rate him. They don't.

I think Foster is better than Dixon. Foster is a superb finisher from 10 yards out, that try at Wakey last year was quality. A skill I admire about foster which I don't think fans appreciate is his ability to pass back on inside once he's made a break. A skill a lot of wingers fail to do.

Agree he has a lot to work on and his lack of natural pace probably stops him ever getting near the international team. But he's a decent winger and one I'm glad we have playing for us at this time. And I was not particularly happy when we first signed him

I don't the no he is an out out winger to be honest. A bit more strength and size and I think he will make a good centre.

This. Plus a bit more confidence in his own ability. Dixon is a more natural winger.

Yeah, I agree with that. Centre may well be where he finishes up.
