Thought there was a lot of common sense talk in this article http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/s ... e_quality/ Doesn't really help us, but I think it combats some of the silly talk about 'when are we going to sign anyone?' Thoughts?

Mid season is never the best time to sign players, virtually all the best ones are already tied up, at least until the end of the season. There's always the odd 'falling out', of course, a la Fakir, but they tend to be few and far between and what's worse, if it's a really big name there tends to be a few clubs competing for signatures.
