With Fathers' Day coming up, here is a suggestion for an excellent present. The rugby league historian and a Bradford Northern fan since 1955 Trevor Delaney has written an amazing book called "Come On Northern" The Fall and Rise of Bradford Northern RLFC 1954 to 1965.
In it he has researched every game and every crucial meeting from 1954 to 1965. It covers 202 pages, has a foreword by Len Hayley who made his senior debut for the club in 1951 and went on to play around 300 times and includes photos some over 60 years old. It is available on line from the publisher London League Publications at http://www.llpshop.co.uk and also through Amazon. |
