2015 Play Offs - Projected Sample Fixtures : Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:51 am  

I guess most of us have seen the latest diagram issued by the RFL showing next years format. The "Playoff" stage on the diagram is not possible to show in a simple form - so I had a go at putting some teams into the ranking system. The ranking anf fixture format in a simple form is here; http://davidwood.slickpic.com/albums/PlayoffFormat/photo#8783464 I then sampled bottom 4 SL and top 4 Champ 1 and put them in the grid here; http://davidwood.slickpic.com/albums/PlayoffFormat/photo#8783465 It looks interesting when viewed like this - what do you think?

Interesting stuff. So if you come top of the championship you get 1 home game against a SL club but come second and you get 3....hmmm

Sounds about right. Illusion of promotion and relegation, not actually promotion and relegation. That's what this new system is all about

That would make sense as the Top Championship club should win the three, has a good chance of the fourth and as such has a very good chance of coming 3 or 4 in the play offs
