Well all I suspected about our leaders is contained in the article by Martyn Sadler in League Express on Monday!

For example if presented to an AGM as a Chairmans report, it would have been extremely difficult to spin it in a positive light?
ie

Operating Turnover down by 12.2%
Sponsorship Income down by 48.9%
Saving on wages bill (due to getting rid of staff, sorry redundancies of non essential staff) down 9.2%

BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS!!!

Directors remuneration up 22%
Highest paid director up 32% (no second guessing who that might be) to £223.3 k.
Pension payment by the RFL 19.5 % of salary about £40k.

We might be forgiven if we thought it was the banking group of ompetent inc. (fictitious name)

Yes not sure I understand the psychology of that - failure is rewarded if you are a director? Those dog's had a much harder time with Pavlov!!

I'd feel better if he was on £300k a week, not a year, but you can't have everything.

I always thought that people who work in England should be said in English pounds. That might be just me.

Or about 100,000 Big Mac's with a side order of a 40' container of fries.

Still maybe we should count ourselves lucky as I think the head of UK Athletics pockets about £500k - something to keep in mind the next time you buy a lottery ticket
