Does anyone know why he left London? I can't imagine he wasn't wanted - unless he always saved his best performances for games against us and, in reality, is actually quite poor.. Paper report says he wasn't offered a contract at London. Could easily be money related, that any discussion he had with London wasn't anywhere near what he wanted and given the difference between south east Englands living costs and round here a similar contract makes it worth while in the championship.

It does seem odd. He's played 85 games in SL at the age of 22, last season was given the 10 shirt and played 26 games racking up respectable stats in a side getting leathered.

The 2015 squad thread on the London board seems to indicate that he was offered a contract, and has either yet to sign it or just flat out rejected their offer.

suspect you've got it spot on with respect to living costs. we could offer him same money as london and difference in living costs between here and london could be difference between barely paying rent down there and earning a reasonable wage up here.

Assuming he's happy to up sticks and move 200m north, of course. He may well have a whole life in place down there, and indeed, undoubtedly has.
