How sad that after all this time, and some fine England performances especially against the world's best NZ, some still obsess over their hate of McNamara.

It's not obsessive hatred, it's reasoned analysis. He was the coach in a period of the club's fall from world champions to utterly appalling, ultimately culminating in multiple administrations and relegation - disastrous by any standards. His record against the 'world's best' is poor.

I don't think anyone hates him, in fact they're remarkably fair.

TBH, I have seen no evidence of any "obsession" or "hate" for McNamara on these boards for ages.

In fact, I am sure most people on here would be happy if his name was never mentioned again.

FA, however, has a signed photo of him pinned to his bedroom ceiling.

No hatred towards him just don't rate him as a coach and it's not even based on Bradford past.. More the fact he has had arguably the best England squad over the last 2-3 years and still results have generally underperformed IMO

That is a view that seems to be shared by many within the game when you read/listen to reports... Particularly over the last year or so. Common phrase... Not the right man for job!
