Another Scottish international joins Bradford, not sure how long for.

Oddly, when we signed Haggerty I confused Kurt with Ben Kavanagh so I'm ok with this.

Ben was the Widnes player that joined Wakefield on loan at the back end of last season and played against us in the £1m game.
I can't really understand why we've signed him, as I wouldn't want him in the side ahead of Olbison, Ferguson, Pitts, Walshaw, Mellor and possibly even Haggerty.

If this was supposed to take the edge off us losing one of - if not our best - attacking player in Jake Mullaney, it hasn't. At all.

can't say I know too much about kavanagh. announcement on bulls website reads to me as if we consider him as a prop who can cover 2nd row rather than other way round. We certainly look to have improved in forwards this year. We just need to address the glaring deficiency at HB now. Not too bothered about FB as we have adequate cover with clare, thomas and campbell when fit. If we do sign a half suspect thomas will be regular FB as thats where a lot of london fans said his best position was.

The recent signings of Haggerty and Kavanagh suggest that we'll see Addy pushed into the HB role I reckon

Unless there is a fundamental shift in policy by Lowes, then the first four named will be named for every game regardless of how they play, and the rest will be kicking their heels or sent out on Dual Reg

Well I'm not classing Kavanagh as a prop, I think he's more of a second rower really.
Seven props is ok if we actually bother to rotate them. Lauaki should be nowhere near our starting 17 next season, but something tells me Jimmy will still pick the useless lump.

I am glad he has left Widnes to be honest. Goodluck to the lad though.
