Anyone going to the Cas friendly? Could be a damp evening. Bit of a shame for our trialist Caprice who looks to be more of a dry weather “top of the ground” player.
Hopefully, I couldn't go when it was Sunday, but I can make Friday so hopefully the weather allows it to go ahead doesn't spoil the match too much.
Yes it is a shame for Caprice, but I'm most looking forward to seeing how Jacks goes as I still cant quite believe that 10 days before the start of the season we don't have a single scrum half on the books at the club. (I'm not a fan of the waiting in hope for "the right person" to miraculously become available and wanting to play for us mid season ahead of mid 8's theory)

Suspect we're holding back on announcing jacks as a permanent signing to have something positive to release if rumours re clough are correct. Think it was mentioned that jacks had to have his visa to play infriendlies so presumably he's now got that. Got impression caprice was a more long term trial to give him chance to get upto speed with league and a decision either way isn't likely before season starts.
Hope Jacks gets the full 80. Defensively he was excellent against Leeds. Kicking wise he needs to become more involved, think he only kicked it once (TBF it was a decent kick and split the FB and winger) but suppose never easy coming on at HT as a 7, especially with rolling subs and the team constantly changing.
He certainly isn't afriad to take the line on, and threw out a cracking long ball to the winger later in the game.
Bulls Squad: Danny Addy, Ollie Bartle, James Bentley, Matty Blythe, Dan Caprice, Omari Caro, James Clare, Dale Ferguson, Dan Fleming, Kurt Haggerty, Vila Halafihi, Luke Hooley, Rhys Jacks, Ben Kavanagh, Epalahame Lauaki, Joe Lumb, Alex Mellor, Adam O'Brien, Tom Olbison, Brandon Pickersgill, Jay Pitts, Ethan Ryan, Adam Sidlow, Oscar Thomas, Jonny Walker & Lucas Walshaw.
No Danny Williams. Wonder if he picked up a knock at Leeds?
I also note no Lee Gaskell. He did take a knock in the Leeds game, so probably not worth risking him. Might mean Addy & Jacks get most of the game in the halves together though.
Kris Welham also not involved. He took a bang to the head in the first half.
Bulls e-mail mentioned Baile as one who faced Leeds but hasn't been included. Baile didn't play, did he?
Ryan Boyle, William Cooke, Pat Diskin, Davy Dixon, Brandon Douglas, Conor Fitzsimmons, Kieran Gll, Ryan Hampshire, Jy Hitchcox, Tom Holmes, Lewis Johnson, Will Maher, Greg Minikin, Jacques O'Neill, Ash Robson, Dec Sheehan, Gadwin Springer & Brandon Westerman.
Their reserves, us resting a few, and potential of chucking it down. I can't see the gate being very big.
