Good shot from the lad...

http://youtu.be/mEV-buO3NoY

Would of like to see him given a bit more of a chance to be honest.

It was a good shot but I don’t think he’s any better than who we have in the backline at the moment.

Yeah, agree Bullseye.

He didn't get much of a shot last year it's true, but he wouldn't play much this time round either, imo.

Centre appears to be his best position, but would he displace Purtell, Welham or Blythe? I'm not so sure.

Good luck to him, but I'm not convinced we've missed out particularly.

I'm not that sorry he's left as I don't think he's much better than the player we got coming the other way. I really don't think that, now we've signed Mathers, Campbell will get a game unless we've got serious injuries to the back line

It was a good hit but, for my money he was the most incisive three-quarter on the pitch on Sunday. He scored two good tries and put another on a plate for Shaun Ainscough. He caused trouble most times he was in possession, and quite surprised me. (like a few of the Batley lads! )

I'd have him in my side over both Blythe and Purtell.
Blythe is a nutcase, in the short time he was on the pitch on Sunday he came flying out of the defensive line at least twice and completely missed the bloke he was trying to clatter. You do that against better opposition and you get punished.
I've spoken at length on here about Purtell, for some reason most people seem oblivious to his defensive frailties. He's already been done for pace on the outside and let a try in, and we've only played one match! God knows what the tally will be come the end of the season.

I like Purtell but he was very poor for Fev's first try on Sunday

That try was down to us not numbering up properly. Fev had a 4 on 3 and Purtell was caught in two minds.

Surely you cannot be serious? I thought Purtell had a quiet game on Sunday ( is he still recovering from a knock?) but Ulugia is also suspect in defence despite that big hit.

Purtell will do a lot more good for the team than bad, perhaps that's the more important tally for you to tot up.
