Who would people like?

For this round anyone outside the championship would be ideal and then give fringe players a chance... Vila, Etu, Baile, Ryan etc...

A good cup run would nice but as happened with Leigh last year, the longer we stay in the more likely catch-up games mid-week will be inevitable... Do we want that desraction from the league??

Personally, no.

We have absolutely no chance of winning the trophy, so personally I'd put the fringe players out every round, regardless of who we've drawn.
Use it as a way of getting them some game time and don't really care about the win.

The last thing we want is a key player getting injured playing for something we can't win. Look at Wigan playing a glorified exhibition game and they've lost their star hooker for the season. Imagine if Gaskell or O'Brien went down in a cup game.

Easy tie this round and next to give people time off, then as soon as the top 8 SL sides come in I would take an away fixture at one of the best supported teams (preferably Leeds) to generate some additional revenue for the club. That's all the cup should mean to us at this stage.

I agree with Nothus. Keighley away then a game versus a big SL club so Leeds, Wigan or Saints.

Yep, I'd agree with that. But even if we got that big money spinning game, I'd still put the reserves out.

Agreed. I think even a bottom end championship team like Whitehaven, Oldham, it would be worth putting the reserves out. Just to keep those guys motivated and keep the regulars on their toes. Won't hold my breath though.
