We are constantly reading about the ineptitude of the people running the RFL. It suddenly occurred to me to ask the following question: How do the people that run the RFL get chosen to run the RFL? Most organisations have elections to the top positions (even FIFA) but this seems to have passed me by entirely.
It may be one of those rare exceptions that NASA, the Masons, the Illuminati and the NewWorld Order don't control, but I'd be pretty certain it's them.
From what I can remember, the people in charge have usually been an employee within the RFL, and when a position becomes available on the ruling body, they can apply and the Council of RL clubs, made up of the 12 SL clubs plus I assume other members of the current board, will meet and vote by majority to employ the person chosen to fulfill the function.
Although F. Ardvark is probably the nearest in his answer?
Otherwise a big bag of numbered peas thrown into the air comes to mind????
The answer will be found by the method they use to replace that guy who just left, who did whatever it was, I'm not quite sure.
The Rugby Football League Limited is a limited company and the directors are responsible for running it. They are currently Susan Allan (secretary), Brian Barwick, Simon Johnson, Clare Morrow, Ralph Rimmer and Nigel Wood.
It has 1 share, and that is recorded as held by "Rugby Football League". Not sure that's quite accurate as it is i think a wholly-owned subsidiary of a company called "RFL (Governing Body) Ltd"
EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS 75. A majority of the Non-Executive Directors shall appoint a minimum of two persons, but up to a maximum of three persons to be the Executive Directors on such terms and for such period as they think fit and the Board may delegate to the Executive Directors such of its powers as they think desirable to be executed by them.

I must admit FA the long winter evenings just fly by????
So what about Super League Europe who are the supposed ruling body for SL, and that wholly owned subsidary company who were going to buy the Bulls in 2012. Nordreign or something??
I understand that the Bulls originally had 2 shares in SL Europe, and Nigel Wood has 8 shares, out of the original 14, cos he's the biggest in the organisation. Or have I lost it completely now, and should go to lie down in a darkened room???
So having read the above I suppose it is pointless to ask how they can be replaced. At least when Bernie Eccleston appointed himself he made a success of it.
