Just thought it would be interesting to see people's views about what's changed since Rohan took over and what still needs attention. From my pov

+
Defense, generally much better and committed
Use of the full squad, and horses for courses (Addy being named as hooker at the bash because he wanted a big pack at the start and going with 5 props v Batley)
Lauaki looks a new player

Still to resolve
A quality half back, Charnock looks ok, but imagine what Drinkwater would do to the team!
On field leadership, can still look like headless chickens. Taking 2 late on is a great example, it invited Batley into our half and they scored, when they were generally struggling to get anywhere near halfway with ball in hand

Agreed. Defence has certainly improved. Attack still a bit disjointed but i believe we will improve this once Charnock and Moss (effectively our two pivots of attack) settle in. Also once we got some consistency in the line up, at the moment Smith is assessing his squad.

We are grinding out wins when things maybe aren't going for us.

Sunday we would have lost in times gone by. Dropped ball after dropped ball, our heads would gave gone and conceded the killer try. We hung in there, kept plugging away and got a slice of luck. Then we made a cock up and allowed Batley to score. Again we plugged away and got the vital 1 point to win it.

This isn't his squad, so I'm really not sure we can cast too much judgement on how well we go for the rest of this season.
One thing is for sure though, the next off season is going to be a hectic one for us - we have tons of players coming off contract, we still don't know what division we'll be in, and Rohan will no doubt want to rebuild our squad to his liking.

I'm actually quite looking forward to it in some sick, twisted way.

I mentioned in my post about the Batley game that the main thing that's changed for me is that I always expected that we would find a way to win the game, and it's pretty much the opposite of most of the last few seasons when the chips were down.

So I would say he has restored or instilled some "belief".

Yeah, agree with that.

It's far too early to assess how Charnock is settling in with Moss, but it's looking promising is the best we can say though how long we have Charnock for is the biggest question for me and unless someone of [say] Drinkwater's quality suddenly becomes available, and given Saints don't seem to want him long term, I'd like to see us try to tie him up [on loan?] for the rest of the season put an offer on the table for Charnock.
