We stuffed Oldham on their patch with effectively half a team. I would expect a similar result to that one this time around, considering the players now available to us coupled with home advantage, which should offset the fact they were part timers playing three games in a week.
Agreed.
However, this is a game we CANNOT afford to stuff up. Promotion or not, for the sake of our income next year we have to finish in the four and with all that in mind we can't go into the game in any kind of half arsed, we only need to turn up, sort of manner - not even if that is, to some extent, true. We all know what happens to basically 'good' teams who don't turn up for the fight; they get beaten. We certainly should know, 'cos we've been following such a team all season and seen it too many times already this year.
I'm not suggesting for a second we treat it as a cup final, but we MUST turn up determined to win the physical battle, and treat it more or less in the same manner we do against Leigh. Last weekend's results seem to have thrown us a lifeline and we must try to take it, so no complacency, get stuck in and if we're 50 points up by half-time I really won't care about anything else.
