Denny Solomona is on 28 tries with teams like wakefield and widnes still to play

They were talking on sky about whether he could beat Mcguires record of 38 tries in a SL season, imo he can't as Cas wont play in the semis

But do you think he will break or equal Vainikolo's record of 36 regular SL season tries? If he scores a hatrick against someone he might just

Would be a shame imo though, he isn't a patch on the player who tormented us so often and who I think most Leeds fns begrudgingly respect

Or the RFL have got something wrong again?. I can't see Solomona getting 8 tries in 4 games to match 36 in 28.

Unlikely I think.

None of those players are near to the likes of Offiah or Hanley for try scoring prowess IMO.

And the likes of Boston and Bevan were even better.

Different game back then though, tbf. Wingers scoring 70 tries in a season wasn't unknown back in those days.

Well it was rarer than you think. Bevan topped 70 in a season just once when he got 72 in 52/53 season.

Nobody else had done that since Rosenfeld in 1913/14.

Nobody got over 50 after Boston retired until Ellery did it with us decades later. Only Offiah and Hanley have broken the 50 mark in the past 50 years.

I hope someone else comes along that good again, it was a privilege to see Offiah and Hanley at their best.
