Make recruitment more focused: Sign players with a proven track record or noted potential. Avoid handing out a two-year deal to someone who may not cut it, as has happened all too often in the past two seasons.
Stop conceding so many tries: The Bulls have struggled all season to defend their line and conceded an average of three-and-a-half tries per game. This is as much about mental application and a willingness to put your body on the line for the cause.
Pay players and staff on time: For the past three months, there have been wages delays. That causes resentment and anger among a workforce and leads to de-motivation. Rugby league is a small world and players talk all the time about goings-on at clubs.
Be open and transparent with supporters: Lines of communication with fans seem to have been eroded amid the chaos of the past season. The Bulls have a large and loyal fanbase who should not be ignored.
Make finishing in the top four a priority: The Bulls seemed to take for granted the fact they would finish in the top four of the Championship at the end of the 23 regular rounds. They should target top spot and aim to be the benchmark in the division next term.
Hardly earth shattering stuff IMO. But what would you say is 'the big one' that needs to be the f focus. And are there other key areas that ought to be on the list?
More pure vacuous arsewash, of which there's a lot about today.
"Pay players on time" . . Well, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... ya don't say? What - employees are not happy if not paid on time? Really? How astonishing! Who knew? What a shame that Green had not been given that utterly blinding insight before. Knowing that, he would surely have paid the wages on time, instead of keeping the wages money burning a hole in his pocket.
I generally defend Ross' articles. And I find most of that article to be pretty accurate, and agree with almost everything said. Even including the way it shows how bad this season was, but then champions a few hopeful things for next season. But even I agree that point about paying people on time is a bit bloody obvious.
I get the point he's making, that it's not helping towards the general feeling around the club. But it's worded to a point where it sounds like people won't realise that themselves.
3 of those issues are inter connected Recruitment Wages Defence And that leads on to the fourth Top 4
Better recruitment and paying the players on time will mean a better atmosphere and attitude from the players meaning they should work better as a unit in both defence and attack which will make a top 4 finish and easier task
As for transparency, quite frankly I don't give a monkeys what's going on in the boardroom provided wages and bills all get paid, recruitment is handled properly and the club keeps living
Mr. Micawber nailed it: "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen and six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery"
It astonishes me how articles like that, and various online comments, imply that we had the money to pay the wages, yet didn't know we really ought to.
The issue we have is a misery issue. Only a complete cretin would think we wouldn't pay the wages if we had the cash.

its not addressed to us savvy intellectuals but to the TnA mob, where these things have to be spelled out in words of one syllable. no pay no play sort of does it.
And re the OP, fitness should be on the must have list to play the sort of game that Rohan seems to want, Ross mentions it in the contras but it did not make his top 5 list.
