This is one area that has disappointed me with the Bulls. Other clubs have their past greats helping at the club and I think that can only be good for the club. We don't seem to do this.
I would have Fox back as an assistant coach along with Fielden or Langley for the forwards. This sort of thing gives the club something that we seem to be missing out.
It depends where people want to go in their career though. We've had McNamara, Lowes and Noble as ex-players who have coached. Diskin as an assistant. Robbie Paul behind the scenes as a marketing manager I think plus his most recent role too. Parker? had been involved down the line too.
I know you said 'greats' but a few of our greats have either got their own business (Fielden), or have coached at a higher standard (Anderson, McDermott). It's hard to convince people to leave whatever they are doing and come to a club that's been on a downward spiral for 10 years and looks like it's sliding a little further for now. Ideally if we were to get back into SL my personal dream team coaching staff would be Anderson/McDermott as head coach. With Fielden as Head of Conditioning (link it with his fitness business), Deacon/Henry Paul as the backs coach and Langley/Lowes as the forwards coach.
But back on the subject of Fox, I am very happy he is helping the young lads. He was before my time (born 1995) however I have heard a lot about him from my grandad, especially using the kick he describes in the article.
