I know I'm late on posting but it's been bugging me a little for a while...before liquidation the RD all weather pitches were opened for parking and the Bulls took the money. Since then it's been closed...so...

1) Were we allowed because the lease covered the land, therefore as we leased/then rented from the RFL it was considered ours
2) Does the lack of access now mean that the parcel of land has been split and we are no longer allowed to access/make profit from it?

Just with the new sports centre moving along now I'm being a nosey parker

The Head Lease is just Odsal Stadium and adjacent land. It does not include anything over the road.

I suspect the non use of RD car park is more due to our lower requirement - a bit like the lack of road closure after the game.

I could be wrong but I don't think we did get any of the money from parking there.

Seem to remember Marc Green banging on about it at one of the fan forums along with complaining why everybody drank at Q Gardens/Top house instead of in the ground?

No, I'd guess the council got the parking money and it would seem they've decided it's no longer worth paying someone to collect it.

As for the drinking bit, if the club sold decent ale like the top House, more would drink in the ground, though I know full well it isn't really feasible to serve cask beer on a single day per fortnight (or even fewer) so I think they'll just have to accept that. PS, I know it could be re-racked but it would take most of the profit setting it up and you'd still have the wastage.

IIRC correctly Bulls 1.0 got some money from parking at Richard Dunnes. That agreement lapsed after first admin hence Greens moaning about people not parking in ground. Suspect Bulliacs correct and numbers now dont make it worth while for council to do it. Seems to be plenty of street parking around ground these days compared to what it was like 10 years back.

Yeah there was a point where if you wanted to park for free you were luck if you could park closer to the ground than the Chapel House!
