flexipass : Thu Jan 24, 2019 6:30 pm
the club have now released six game flexipasses which a lot of people were calling for. Think they've covered all bases now in terms of ticket offerings to suit peoples individual circumstances ( other than lowering prices to unsustainable levels).

You say unsustainable, others would say reasonable. But you can't lower your matchday prices after selling season tickets or you risk upsetting your highest paying customers. So that would need to wait until 2020 anyway.

Six game flexi pass is definitely a good idea as long as there's a bit of a saving on matchday prices and it's balanced right against season tickets and the other membership thingy.

going bust 3 times in 5 years when tickets were even cheaper points towards your reasonable being clubs unsustainable. To lower prices we need to increase attendances and dont think many people will come back until we're in a higher league. Slow steady growth is key and appears to be what we are achieving.

But the argument against that would be that some are not going now because of the prices, not because of the league (I know at least 3 people that this applies to). That's an argument that's already been had on here at length anyway, so no need to tread old ground.

For the club it's about getting the right balance, and I'd rather it was them trying to work out what that balance is than me, as it's an almost impossible one to get spot on. Hopefully for the club and the fans' sake, they've got it right.

I definitely think that a significant number of more casual fans who would like to attend games this season will be put off by the prices. As one of those fans who doesn't want to commit to a season ticket and finds the match by match price too expensive, I think this is the best solution. I can buy 6 tickets at just under £20 per game, and either use them all myself or take family when they are not working. Well done the Bulls for taking this initiative. I'll be buying a flexipass.

Yeah, agreed. Problem is that every fan has their own version of "reasonable" but the club really has only the one "sustainable". The club has to deal in totals not individuals, though they clearly are trying to do what is possible within that framework.

Do they have fewer decent players and lose even more fans when we get into losing runs or cut prices and hope even more like a bargain? Decisions, decisions, decisions. If we're having a vote (which we never ever will..) my vote is stick to our current MO.

The club certainly can't be accused of not doing enough to get folk up there....Even from sunny Cheshire the options presented and marketing build up on social media has been really good!

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.

Re: flexipass : Sun Jan 27, 2019 9:48 am
Our first season in the Championship - 2015, we averaged about 5k crowds in the main season at home then about 6k crowds in the middle 8's.
We have to aiming for 5-6k average gate this season, haven't we?

Very hard to tell, tbh. In many respects, what you say makes sense but things have moved on and, yes, I know we are actually now in a better position but whether that will translate into such a crowd is far from clear cut, imo. Let's say I'm placing no bets.
